Review and Research Ethics
Double-blind review
remove author names and affiliations from any uploaded file.
Originality
your work must be original and not published or under review elsewhere.
Co-author approval
all named co-authors must have approved the submission.
Research with children
studies involving children, families or other human participants must have appropriate ethical approval and informed consent or assent.
Similarity screening
every manuscript is checked with iThenticate.
Presentation type
the Scientific Committee may assign Oral or Poster for in-person submissions based on the review. A Virtual selection remains Virtual.
Copyright and Publication Agreement
Authors keep full copyright of their work. Accepted work is published open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Accepting this agreement is a required checkbox on the submission form.
Preparing Your Presentation
Oral and live virtual presentations normally allow 15 minutes per presentation. Your exact slot and Q&A arrangements will be included in your presenter instructions. Poster presenters will receive their poster requirements by email.
Generative AI and Disclosure
For manuscript writing, generative AI may be used only to improve the language and readability of your own text, and that use must be disclosed. Name the tool, what it was used for, and confirm that you checked the output and remain responsible for the content.
Basic checks are exempt:
spelling, grammar, punctuation and reference-formatting checks need no declaration. Generative rewriting does.
Abstract-only submissions:
use the separate AI-use declaration in the submission form. It is not counted in your abstract's word limit.
Full papers:
also include the declaration immediately before the References.
AI as a research method:
describe it in your methodology. For an abstract-only submission, describe it in the abstract's methods wording — no full paper is needed for this.
Revised material:
follow the same policy using the update instructions in your email or Help & Support.
